With team work and our little system we have the first row done and the second row started. It got really warm again so we are once again waiting until this evening to pick up the planting. The white dust you see is bone meal it is good for the lavender and will help to establish the roots. We only put about a tablespoon, so a handful.
Each lavender plant has it's own dripper so when it is time to water it is not missed. They are planted 3 feet apart. The rows are 6 feet apart.
There are 45 grosso lavender plants in the first row. It is taking us about 30 minutes to plant a row; 79 rows to go. We don't have a weed barrier at this time, funds and time are prevent us now. We might be able to add it as time goes by. The plants that you see in between the rows are the plants that remain after tilling. We are planning to leave those in place so as not to disturb the soil any more than need be.
