We are out working in the field. The new irrigation system is going in and so many of the plants are coming back from winter happy and ready for spring! We are so excited that what we thought had perished after the rabbits ate them are coming back from the roots.
We have 1080 replacement plants that we ordered coming that we will pick up in May. Last year we only had 163 Provence, this year we are adding 500 more. We are also going to introduce Munsteand to the farm. We are excited to see how our culinary clients like it compared to the Provence. It will be an great harvest with the new plants. We will be posting pictures as we see change happen. Please take care of yourself and remain healthy and happy during these stressful times. We wish you the best! Lyric, Peg, and I have been out in the field working on the irrigation system taking care of the lavender plants. We are all pleased to report that many of the plants that the rabbits ate down to the ground are coming back up! Winter lavender is starting to green up and we are pretty excited to see that spring is here! The fence is up so we will keep our new shoots alive we will keep you posted!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Spring has come to the farm the plants are starting to green up we have been blessed with rain and are starting to get back in the field! Try to get out in the sunshine in these crazy times!
150 more t-post to go... Phew we are going to be tired. There are certainly a lot of rocks in the soil good for the lavender bad for the fence. DARN RABBITS!!!!!
We have some news... We purchased the land next to ours. The farm is expanding. We aren't sure what we will be doing next, but this gives us lots of options!
Lyric and I went to go see some lavender at the Santa Fe Botanical Gardens... It was really nice to talk about lavender with their master gardner and get some advice for winter.
